Dr. Karapetyan has studied medicine at YSMU, graduating with honors, followed with a Residency in Dermatology. Upon completion, he earned his Ph.D. in Dermatology from Pavlov State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he was awarded a professorship position at the Department of Dermatology; giving him the opportunity to teach medical students and residents while continuing his research. His deep interest and wide breadth of knowledge in Cosmetic Dermatology were well recognized, and he was asked to serve as Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious Journal of Dermatology and Cosmetology in Russia.

Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Karapetyan completed his medical residency training in New York City and became a board certified physician. His practice initially started in a surgical center in Beverly Hills with a focus on weight loss and cosmetic medicine.

Dr. Karapetyan founded LA Beauty Skin Center in 2012, incorporating his extensive and diverse knowledge and expertise in Aesthetic Medicine with the goal of creating a state-of-the-art medical center where anyone and everyone could benefit from the ever-emerging breakthroughs of science and technologies through affordable, high-quality treatments.

Few doctors have their hands on the pulse of the ever-expanding field of the science of aesthetic medicine quite like Dr. Karapetyan. Though he has many celebrity clients from all around the world, he strives every day to ensure that each one of his clients at LA Beauty Skin Center receives the best, personal and medical, treatment possible.
